The Red Man
The play is set in Spain where Man and his wife Betty have retired to spend the rest of their lives in sunny tranquility.
But Man's retirement routine is thrown into disorder when his next door neighbour, Murdoch, is able to offer Betty more than a chat across the balcony.
Alone, angry and bitter, Man rails against the price of English newspapers, the cost of living, the inability of the Spanish to speak English, and fights a running battle with the pedestrian crossing.
